Wow, I've been submerged in the world of oils and teaching oil painting here in Cumming ( Georgia ) and hadn't done any watercolor for months and months. You artists know what I'm talking about; I didn't feel like myself...and the crispness and freshness of watercolor when I finally painted last week was invigorating. Here's the rhododendron I did, it links to the painting on ebay...

I was so inspired I wrote one of my famous watercolor demo chapters on the process and uploaded to lulu, my new favorite website. If you want to see the preview to this or other e-books which are in .pdf format, or get one for free, email me. If the link below doesn't work, just let me know.

Art seems to be a salve for the soul these last few years, but it's increasingly hard to make time for such things. It's a blessing to teach and share a love of painting, but it's not the same.

You friends in Cumming, remember to submit some art for the Methodist Church's art show (deadline is Mar 29)...it's getting to be bigger and actually has some cash prizes!

Here's the book preview: http://www.lulu.com/browse/preview.php?fCID=6246064

Best wishes to all, and happy painting! Yours, Susan
