Working on Commissions and Finding a Spot in the Sun
photo

Wow, the cold air is seeping into the house in my work space and I'm finding that I want to sit in the sun like the cat.

Here's what I've been working on, a large oil of Amicalola Falls which has been frustrating me for the last month. Some of you may have seen the many studies done for this commission which have appeared on ebay, now I'm almost done, and it will be a while before I paint another waterfall!

Every afternoon I put my mom hat back on and run to lessons or wrestling meets, but the days of painting are treasured.

For my many artist friends, take the time to paint every day that you can. Even though you don't feel like sitting down, you'll feel better when you do. I find that browsing through a book on art never fails to provide inspiration.

BY THE WAY....
