This painting was a little experimental for me; It’s half knife painting and half brushwork. It’s a highly textured painting done in golds, peaches and blues. There’s a figure of a child, silhoetted against the sun, soaking in the glowing sky and trees. The painting measures 18” wide by 24” high, and it’s done on standard 5/8” deep stretched canvas.
Like most of my paintings these days, this painting started out as one thing and ended up as another. For a while it was a knife painting,and then I sanded, washed ,rubbed and spattered until it looked like this. I hope it looks like a fanciful landscape with a child sitting at the base of a tree. It’s supposed to be wistful and happy!
It is 18”wide by 24” wide,and is painted on standard stretched canvas.
I pack my paintings with lots of cardboard,and ship them carefully via USPS Priority Mail to the United States and Canada.
