“Study: Making it to the Edge of the Woods”, original acrylic on stretched canvas, 11” x 14”

$400.00

Just when I thought I was comfortably settled in a nice long realism painting jag, this study happened and abstraction has yanked me back into its wonderful clutches.   It’s hard for me to reconcile my realistic paintings with my love of abstract knife painting, so here on my site they coexist without too much of a problem. Paintings like this are like telling about a dream or a journey through life; they seem allegorical to me, and make me feel a sense of longing for heaven, or adventure. The large one for which this one is a study will hopefully have a sense of immediacy and spontaneity too. I titled it “Making it to the Edge of the Woods,” (this one being the study) because hopefully that captures the sense of emerging from a hidden shady place into a place of hope.

The painting is done in acrylics, is sold unframed, and measures 11” high by 14”wide.
