"Purple Harbor" Original Susan Kennedy Acrylic on Canvas 11" x 14"
This small painting is done in acrylic on a standard canvas panel, 11” x 14”, approximately 1/8” thick. It was intended as a fanciful, loosely painted imaginary landscape. I imagined a traveler approaching this mysterious harbor, surrounded by steep cliffs and mountains, with bright light-struck slopes just beyond. I hope you enjoy it!

This little painting is one I did a year ago when a friend was getting married. She wanted a painting which included a beautiful scene with a harbor and lights, and this was inspired by that project. The actual work I did for her ended up being a piece of digital art, but this one was stuck between my desk and a chair for a while. The main photo was taken before varnish, so you could see more detail; it does indeed have a coat of varnish now. The painting is done in acrylic on canvas panel (not stretched canvas), and it is unframed.
