This painting, like so many of mine from the last few years, is an abstracted landscape which reflects my preoccupation with mystery and reveling in the earth and light. I imagined, as the painting developed, that it was a view that a small animal might have as they emerge from their burrow on a foggy morning. I hope that the feeling of fresh color and cool breezes comes through. The painting is done in acrylics on a hardboard panel, measures 12” x 16” and comes unframed. It’s a study, as I hope to paint a larger version in the future.
