This print is reproduced from a casein and acrylic painting I did recently, based upon a remote drive on Edisto Island (South Carolina). It was close to Steamboat Landing, and after a mile or two along this road you came to a "T" and this gate. Haunting and beautiful scenery including live oaks like these always makes me a little reflective and sad: they remind me of plantations and sad times in our history, so I always imagine ghosts in my scenery. May this landscape be redeemed in the coming years!
